The Track
Description of the track.
The 24.1km long track that makes the Hondsrugring, contains roads of asphalt, tarmac and cobbles. Also the colors differ sometimes but i try to get as close as i can get.
I started with importing a kml-file from Google-Earth into the Bobs Track Builder programm. The info showed that the length of the track was 24.002meters. The track width is standard in BTB some 10 meters, according to the rulers, when the real life track is sometimes barely 5 to 7 meters.. i decided to widen it up to "8,8 meters" for the main part of the track, with a few exceptions.
Some parts are only 6.5 to 7m wide.
A huge compromise was doubling the width of the Twee-Derdeweg-Noord.
It is a single track road and 3 meters wide. I made it 6 meters to make
overtaking possible.
